Despite hating High School Musical, i actually like Zac Efron in 17 Again. the film is basically about a typical middle aged man wishing he was still in high school, where he was popular and had a bright future blah blah.. and then he somehow magically becomes seventeen again. kind of like Freaky Friday, but without him having to switch a body with someone else. and Zac Efron plays Matthew Perry as a kid, and i actually like his character quite a lot. he's pretty funny, especially with Thomas Lennon who is hilarious. he plays Ned, who is Mike's best friend, and 'father' when he becomes a kid again, and i completely love him. he's obviously a massive nerd who has become rich by some sort of computer/gaming somethingorother, but either way i love his character.
Leslie Mann is Scarlett, Mikes wife, and i think i like her a lot more for the two minutes that she's a teenager, but even when she's an adult she's kind of funny, although she sort of annoys me at some points. the kids are pretty cute, although i'm not sure that Maggie would end up dating the popular guy.
Overall, it is a pretty good film. not one that i'd watch over and over, but now and then maybe. there were parts which were kind of funny, and it was all watch-able - not as terrible as i thought it was going to be.
of course, this is all just my opinion.. feel free to disagree...ܤ
