Just My Luck (2006)

So despite everything with her social life, i've always loved Lindsey Lohan and she is pretty good in this film. i love her character, and the idea that you could trade luck with someone. and her lifestyle makes me so incredibly jealous; to just be lucky with everything you do would be amazing. but also completely impossible. Chris Pine's character is adorable, and i recognised him from The Princess Diaries Two, and so if you've seen that, you'll understand the sort of audience this film is aiming for. this is the kind of film i would sit down and watch with my mum if she wanted something nice and happy-ever-after-y. 

Mcfly are the band that Jakes luck rotates around, and although it's not really my sort of music, they are pretty funny, and again it's an indication of who this film is aimed at. although it does mean that there's a lot of music, which annoys me a little bit, because i'm not really a fan of the musicals - this film isn't a musical, it's just that most of the soundtrack is Mcfly which gets a bit annoying. 

To be honest there wasn't anything about it that was particularly brilliant, but it was just a nice feel good film, that really helped my hangover, but i'm not sure how many times i'm going to watch it 'just because'. it's more of a film i'll watch to help me feel better.
